Continental banden: Het volledige assortiment autobanden van Continental

Vandaag de dag worden op één van de vier in Europa gefabriceerde auto's, standaard Continental banden gemonteerd. Continental A.G., gevestigd in Hannover in Duitsland, bezet wat betreft banden de vierde plaats op de wereldranglijst, met meer dan veertig fabrieken, onderzoekscentra en testbanen in de hele wereld. Meer dan de helft van het personeelsbestand van het bedrijf wordt ingezet voor de fabricage van banden: voor elk type voertuig, model en snelheid.
Innovatie en veiligheid zijn de speerpunten van dit merk, dat in 2002 een "afspraak" maakte met een van zijn concurrenten, Bridgestone, voor de ontwikkeling van een run-flat band.
De samenwerking met gerenommeerde constructeurs als Daimler-Benz en Porsche resulteerden voor Continental in het behalen van meerdere wereld snelheidsrecords in Grand Prix competities. Een enorme prijzenlijst van meer dan één eeuw, die de trots van dit merk is en waarvan alleen de Formule 1 nog rest om "getest" te worden.
